WebDec 28, 2024 · While early studies may have shown daptomycin-associated myopathy rates of 2%–14% and rhabdomyolysis in up to 5% of patients, recently pooled data from large (n = 11 557) patient registries in the United States and Europe report much lower rates of CPK elevation, myalgia, and rhabdomyolysis of 1.5%, 0.2%, and 0.1%, respectively [ 5 ]. WebApr 1, 2005 · We conclude that daptomycin was the likely cause of our patient's myopathy and possible hepatotoxicity. To our knowledge, this is the only case of daptomycin myopathy with associated liver function abnormalities.
