That way that do not bleed all … WebI’ll draw from a PIV. Just flush it really well, waste appropriately, and get your labs. Biggest problems I’ve seen is when people don’t flush the line well or they don’t waste enough. Your labs will tell you if you’ve done something incorrectly (hemoglobin, sodium, potassium, etc.). Phlebotomists aren’t trained in drawing from a line.
