Almost all its course shows clearly on Lidar imagery, which has revealed the true course of the road from the Roman bridge over the R. Ribble as far as Salesbury, and between Skipton and Addingham. Ribchester is a village and civil parish within the Ribble Valley district of Lancashire, England. It lies on the banks of the River Ribble, six miles (10 km) northwest of Blackburn and twelve miles (19 km) east of Preston. The village has a long history with evidence of Bronze Age beginnings.
