Webb28 jan. 2024 · #1 i have an in ground pool and every couple years by Hayward S244T tank cracks and then leaks water. I was reading reviews and it seems like its a problem with this model that the tanks seams are weak. What sand filter is better/upgraded compared to the 244T that I can replace it with. At the point where the Pump and Return pipes are threaded into the valve is a common spot for a leak. One cause of this is when a hot pool heater backs up hot water to the valve, which shrinks the PVC connector.
