Web1 Nov 2006 · Thats one of the reasons I fitted AIS this year, the shipplotter software gives me CPAs before they are in sight normally, and thus I also manipulate so that there is no problem. However, once you are visible, the rules are quite clear about standing on, and thus allowing the give-way vessel the ability to choose how they are going to solve the problem.
